Hello Terry,

This girl was killed at Amberley in a car accident in either 1976 or 77.  I

attended, (along with 90% of Amberley Base) the funeral and she is buried

at Amberley Cemetery.  Father Pat McCormick (now deceased) was the

officiating Priest.  She was visiting Amberley with an exchanged UK nurse

and were coming back from Ipswich when a truck didn't stop at the bridge

where repairs were being carried out and he collided with the car on the

bridge. Olive died several days later but the UK nurse only sustained minor

injuries.  A court case followed.

I will have to spend some time on the computer to see how to do what you

have changed.  Currently I am trying to complete some handbags for a shop.

Cheers,

Diane

It is with regret that The HMAS BRISBANE Association advises of the passing of a shipmate.

R64677 POMTP Phillip Edward “Sparrow” Daniels, 56, in Western Australia, on Sunday 10th April, 2005.

Sparrow Daniels was part of the commissioning crew of HMAS BRISBANE and went to Vietnam on BRISBANE in 1969.

He also went to Vietnam on MELBOURNE in 65/66 and on SYDNEY in 1972.

Hello Terry,

These names are only possibilities.  The names have appeared in the 1st

edition 2005 of the Camaraderie which I received today.  They only give the

initials so what  I have done is gone to the Nominal Roll and found names

with the same initials.  There were a few others but I note that they are

already on the Mortality Roll.  I will contact John Paule who is the

National Secretary and see if I can get him to advise me each time someone

does pass away if he would give me the full names.

Cheers,

Hello Terry,

These names are only possibilities.  The names have appeared in the 1st

edition 2005 of the Camaraderie which I received today.  They only give the

initials so what  I have done is gone to the Nominal Roll and found names

with the same initials.  There were a few others but I note that they are

already on the Mortality Roll.  I will contact John Paule who is the

National Secretary and see if I can get him to advise me each time someone

does pass away if he would give me the full names.

Cheers,

Diane
